In 1997, St. John's Lutheran pastor, Rev. Brandt, and the Lovell United Methodist pastor, Rev. Don Hodges, talked about forming a Food Bank to serve the needs of people seeking assistance. Thanks to the generosity of the community, the Lovell Food Bank has grown from two shelves in a closet in the United Methodist Church to two storage rooms and a room for distribution. The Lovell Food Bank serves all who are in need in the north part of Big Horn County. It is open at the back door of the United Methodist Church on Shoshone Ave. in Lovell every Friday afternoon from 3:30 to 5:00 p.m.
